When Mark Johnson joined Peachtree Hotel Group in 2015, he brought with him over 32 years of progressive hotel experience. He originally served as the Director of Sales at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel Overland Park. Within one year in his position, the hotel enjoyed a tremendous increase in RevPAR of over 20% year over year versus the competitive set growing 6%. In early 2017, Mark was promoted to Regional Sales Director for Peachtree Hotel Group. In this position he is responsible for a portfolio of 15 Hotels and 4 different brands located across The United States.
Prior to joining Peachtree, Mark was a Special Task Force Consultant for PHM Hospitality, working with over 30 hotels in a variety of domestic markets. Prior to this, Mark held the title of Regional Director of Sales for The Sunway Hotel Group of Overland Park, Kansas. He has also served as Director of Sales for The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri, and in the same position for the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, and the Wyndham Hotels Kansas City and Dallas. He began his career in hospitality back in high school as a Bellman at a resort in Indian Wells California and was quickly promoted after College as Director of Guest Services for the Clarion Hotel of Sacramento. Mark is a past Board Member with Kansas City Business Travelers Association and is a recipient of Marriott’s prestigious Golden Circle Award.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University Sacramento. In his spare time, Mark watches Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs games and plays golf with his two sons, Charlie and Nicholas.
